2-3pm: Chi Sharpe – West African/Mandeka folk music on Djembe and Balafon

3-4pm: Big Ron Hunter – “the world’s happiest bluesman” Blues Guitar

4-5pm: Travis Williams/LeRoy Plock – Arabic jazz on Oud and Piano


NOTES: no rest room facilities – parking is non-existent for non-residents of Jersey so walk, bike, scooter on over – TIPPING for musicians (especially GENEROUS tipping) is encouraged – limited seating available – bring your sunscreen and water!! – bringing food/drink OK but LEAVE NO TRACE – NO SMOKING

Renee Henry - 1-2pm



Celtic Harp/Guitar/Vocals



Renee Henry is a multi-instrumentalist, she plays piano/keys, Celtic harp and guitar, though her primary instrument is her voice. She performs with the band GypsySoul, winner of Triad City Beat's Best Cover Band. Renee was voted Triad CityBeat's Best Female Vocalist 2020. She has performed at festivals, events and venues across North Carolina, including Festival for the Eno, Solstice Festival, and the former Bele Chere in Asheville.



Big Ron Hunter - 3-4pm



Blues Guitar



Ron Hunter was born and raised in the countryside near Winston-Salem. He is known as "the happiest man in Blues". Ron is called the world's happiest Bluesman. He owns a voice that gives people chills. It’s the kind of voice that carries warmth and tenderness, a voice that is unmistakably his own and embodies everything that’s raw, pure and beautiful about the blues.



Chi Sharpe - 2-3pm



Djembe and Malafon



Chi is a native of Winston-Salem and a "percussionist extraordinaire". As a freelance musician, he has worked with various artists playing many styles of music in diverse venues ranging from small clubs, theaters and concert halls, to television, film and audio recordings. Mr.Sharpe played percussion on several world tours with accomplished musicians such as Harry Belafonte, Bruce Cockburn, Rodney Kendrick, Big Ron Hunter, Jose Neto, Matilda Giampietro, Tariq Abubakar & The Afro Nubians.



Travis Williams w/LeRoy Plock - 4-5pm



Oud and Piano



Travis Williams and Leroy Plock make up two fifths of the Travis Williams Group, an Arabic jazz ensemble from Winston-Salem. They will be performing original and traditional Arabic inspired pieces on the Oud and Piano. It was the oud that inspired the formation of The Travis Williams Group. The band consists of five world class musicians playing original compositions influenced by traditional Arabic Maqam music, modern jazz, pop and rock, as well as world music from all over including African and Scandinavian music.
